A U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18D Hornet is brought to rest by a mobile aircraft arresting system during a certification test during Cope North 24 at Northwest Field, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 6, 2024. The MAAS acts as a braking system to safely slow aircraft during emergency landings or aborting takeoff.
