U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Cameron Hunter, assigned to the amphibious assault carrier USS America (LHA 6), sings during a karaoke and ice cream social while conducting routine operations in the Philippine Sea, Feb. 10, 2024. The event was held to increase cohesion and strengthen joint-force partnership of Marines and Sailors. The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations, the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
