240210-N-PN185-1018 – Pearl, Mississippi (Feb. 10, 2024) – Captain Kenneth Collins, commanding officer / leader of the United States Navy Band, speaks with the former head drum major of the Navy Band, Master Chief Musician (retired) Joe Brown, following the conclusion of the United States Navy Band 2024 national tour concert at Peal High School. MUCM Brown served as a euphonium instrumentalist from 1984 to 2007, and as head drum major from 2007 until his retirement in 2014. The Navy Band will travel 2500 ground miles over 18 days to 7 states, giving 12 public concerts as well as 5 concerts for students in schools. (U.S. Navy Photo by Chief Musician Eric Brown)
