    Petty Officer 1st Class Dion A. Moore, a Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville Engineering Support Division machinery technician, poses in the Coast Guard Cutter Maria Bray engine room in Atlantic Beach, Florida, on Jan. 31, 2024. After boot camp, Moore was assigned to the Integrated Support Command in Boston, which turned into Base Boston. Shortly after, Moore attended MK training school and after graduation, was assigned to Station Sturgeon Bay in Wisconsin. After Station Sturgeon Bay, Moore transferred to Surf Station Oregon Inlet, North Carolina. With sea time on Moore’s career plan, he was sent to the Coast Guard Cutter Donald Horsley in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
