    U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Mathew Colley, a radar technician with Marine Air Control Squadron 24 (MACS-24), Marine Air Control Group 48, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve initializes an AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) in preparation of Exercise Arctic Edge 2024 at Fort Greely, Alaska, Feb. 10, 2024. The G/ATOR is utilized to perform radar picture and command and control functions in an arctic environment. ARCTIC EDGE 2024 (AE24) is a U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise demonstrating the U.S. military’s capabilities in extreme cold weather, joint force readiness, and U.S. military commitment to mutual strategic security interests in the arctic region.
