U.S. Marines and Sailors from I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, civilian employees and personnel from I MEF attend the I MIG ribbon-cutting ceremony at Camp Pendleton, California, Feb. 26, 2024. I MIG Marines held the ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate their lineage and celebrate the opening of their new headquarters command post, Hammer Hall. The building, taking over 387,000 manpower hours to complete, is outfitted with numerous technological additions exclusive to I MIG HQ. The new facility will be the primary location for I MIG leadership to plan and coordinate information operations supporting I MEF priorities and future operations. Col. William Osborne, commanding officer of I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, said the entire endeavor had a theme of teamwork, starting with the construction team's ability to finish under budget to the Marines who stood guard 24/7, and Hammer Hall will facilitate the groups' ability to conduct its orders to defend the nation.
