On February 22, 2024, NEX Great Lakes, Illinois, Student Store cut the ribbon to open its NEX Connect Mobile Center. Cutting the ribbon was Chris Ponchak, General Manager, NEX Great Lakes; Capt. Steve Yargosz, Commanding Officer, Naval Station Great Lakes; Courtny Spencer, sales associate, OSL; Nicholas Helm, District Manager, OSL; and Michael Bailey, Service Manager, NEX Great Lakes. The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) enables warfighter readiness and strengthens the Navy’s quality of life mission. Providing essential products, services, hospitality and outfitting Navy communities around the globe, NEXCOM is continuously evolving to meet the demands of today’s military operational environment.
