Firefighters from the participating countries conduct fire training exercises for the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) training operation during the Cobra Gold 2024 exercise at the Disaster Relief Training Center, Chachoengsao Province, Thailand, Feb. 28, 2024. The HADR training exercise is a demonstration within the Cobra Gold exercise in which participating nations train with the intention of preparing for an emergency; that consists of search and rescue, emergency medical services, medical evacuation, hazardous material decontamination, and fire suppression. Joint exercise Cobra Gold is the largest joint exercise in mainland Asia and a concrete example of the strong alliance and strategic relationship between Thailand and the United States.
