Soldiers from Alpha Battery, 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, were welcomed home in a ceremony from a nine-month deployment to the Eastern Flank supporting "European Assure, Deter and Reinforce" in Slovakia, Romania, and Poland on Katterbach Airfield, Ansbach, Germany, February 26, 2024. The unit, part of the 52D Air Defense Artillery Brigade, was the first in the U.S. Army to field and test the Maneuver Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD) systems.
