(Jan. 16, 2024) A U.S. Navy Special Warfare Combat Crewman (SWCC) candidate leads his boat team into the water while carrying an inflatable boat during the “Surf Passage” event in the Alpha Phase of SWCC training. This event teaches the candidates to remain calm and work together as a team under stressful conditions. Naval Special Warfare is the nation's elite maritime special operations force, uniquely positioned to extend the Fleet's reach and gain and maintain access for the Joint Force in competition and conflict.
