U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets from Southern High School, Guam, prepare for the mile run during the annual JROTC Fitness Challenge hosted at John F. Kennedy, Guam, Feb. 24, 2024. The Guam JROTC Fitness Challenge was an effort made by Master Sgt. Bradley Franklin, 36th Wing Support Agency development advisor and JROTC instructors after they saw the national rise of cadets losing ROTC scholarships due to failure of fitness standards. This challenge was made to combine both friendly competition and an opportunity to see which cadets need more training. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Pedro Tenorio)
