Benjamin Cornett, both assigned to Anvil Troop, 1st Squadron 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, during a combat lifesaver class for North and West Africa Response Force (NARF) training at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Feb. 21, 2024. U.S. service members assigned to U.S. Africa Command's NARF provide crisis and contingency response capabilities in North and West Africa. The NARF is on call and ready to provide the U.S. Africa Command commander the capability to quickly respond to protect U.S. personnel and interests in the region.
