U.S. Marine Corps Col. Michael Ogden, commanding officer of 12th Marine Corps District, administers the Oath of Enlistment to poolees with Recruiting Sub-Station Anchorage and RSS Wasilla prior to the start of the race at the 2024 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Anchorage, Alaska, March 2. The Marines had the opportunity to conduct a swear-in ceremony under the start banner and educate spectators about the opportunities the Marine Corps has to offer.
