    Arctic Edge 2024

A U.S. Army Green Beret with the 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) drives his snow machine off of a KC-130J Hercules assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Squadron (VMGR) 234, Marine Aircraft Group 41, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, in Kotzebue, Alaska, Feb. 27, 2024. The VMGR transported the 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Green Berets to Koztebue for training in extreme weather conditions as part of Arctic Edge 24 (AE24). Special Operations Command North deployed more than 400 joint and allied Special Operations Forces across the pan-Arctic region, stretching from Alaska to Greenland, during AE24 to advance SOF capabilities and readiness in extreme cold weather and high latitude environments.
