Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Michael Matthews, assigned to the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42), climbs a caving ladder from a rigid-hull inflatable boat to the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) during a visit, board, search and seizure exercise.
