    U.S. Air Force Maj. Danielle Humphrey, a trauma nurse with Tactical Medical Augmentation Team, Aeromedical Staging Squadron, 920th Rescue Wing, Tenth Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, performs an emergency blood transfusion, known as a Valkyrie, on U.S. Navy Lt. Maria Jarrett, a military nurse with 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, during cold weather medical training as part of exercise Arctic Edge 2024 (AE24) at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 5, 2024. The participants in the training utilized Hawk Warming Grids, portable heat sources designed to prevent and manage hypothermia, showcasing the integration of advanced technologies in extreme conditions.
