Japan Ground Self-Defense Force service members with Fire Leading Company, Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade conduct a brief in the supporting arms virtual trainer during exercise Iron Fist on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 29, 2024. The training was held to sustain the ability of U.S. Marine and JGSDF joint traffic air controllers on conducting fire support missions in a bilateral environment. Iron Fist is an annual bilateral exercise designed to increase interoperability and strengthen the relationships between U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, JGSDF and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
