U.S. Air Force retired Tech. Sgt. Daylena Ricks, photojournalist, takes a “bird’s eye photo” of an excavation site for the remains of missing Department of Defense personnel in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam, 2005. Ricks was a forensic photographer for Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC), today the Defense POW Accounting Agency (DPAA), missions to return the honorable remains of those who served in U.S. foreign conflicts for repatriation.
