U.S. Navy Fireman Didymus Peters, a native of Laurel, Maryland, conduct a countermeasure washdown flush aboard San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), March 5, 2024. Countermeasure washdown is a procedure in which a mist is deployed around the ship to protect it against chemical, biological and radiological attacks.
