UTQIAGVIK, Ak. (Feb. 28, 2024) East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare Operators (SEALs), Norwegian Naval Special Operations Commandos and a local bear guard overlook the sea ice at the northern most point in the United States during arctic mobility training to bolster skills in the extreme Arctic environment during Arctic Edge 24. AE 24 provided Special Operations Command North the opportunity to test a range of capabilities and response options to deter, disrupt, degrade, and deny competitor activity in the Arctic in support of globally integrated layered defense and deterrence of the homeland.
