Sheet Metal Mechanic Troy James, assigned to the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) F-5 Aircraft Production Line, uses an E-Drill to remove metal fasteners on an F-5 Tiger II vertical stabilizer as Dr. Luis Carney, FRCSE’s senior materials engineer, observes. FRCSE’s F-5 Production Line is the first to implement the E-Drill within the NAVAIR enterprise. The device will significantly reduce the time it takes to remove the thousands of rivets typically replaced during in-depth depot-level maintenance. (U.S. Navy Photo by Toiete Jackson/Release)
