Lt. Col. Joshua Ford, chief of operations, 597th Transportation Brigade, inspected the top deck of a military vessel during a site visit at a strategic military port March 13.
As a logistics officer and the brigade Chief of Operations, Ford is responsible for all port operations - including cargo transportation, staging, loading, stowage and vessel transits - at strategic ports on the East Coast, Gulf Coast and the U.S. Southern Command area of operations.
