A soldier from the 2nd Brigade, 1st Armored Division uses Nett Warrior during the Army's Network Integration Evaluation 13.1, which took place October through November 2012 at Fort Bliss, Texas, and White Sands Missile Range, N.M. Nett Warrior leverages commercial smartphone technology to provide an integrated dismounted leader Situational Awareness system for use during combat operations. NIE 13.1 was the fourth iteration in the series of semi-annual, soldier-driven field exercises designed to rapidly integrate and mature the Army's tactical communications network.
