U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Christopher Zepeda Hernandez, and U.S. Army Sgt. Trevor Zahn assemble snowshoes prior to executing a patrol during Artillery Relocation Training Program 23.4 at Yausubetsu Maneuver Area, Hokkaido, Japan, Feb. 22, 2024. The skills developed at ARTP increase the proficiency and readiness of the only permanently forward-deployed artillery unit in the Marine Corps, enabling them to provide precision indirect fires. Zepeda Hernandez, a native of Georgia, is a fire support Marine with 3d Battalion, 12th Marines attached to 12th Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division.
