Leadership and faculty of the Inter-American Defense College welcome members of the Agrupación de Agregados Policiales de Latinoamérica (APALA), the Group of Police Attachés of Latin America, to the IADC on Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C., on March 19, 2024. Various police attachés from Latin America attended the event, which included an institutional briefing on the IADC and other sessions aimed at enhancing cooperation between the IADC and the organization. APALA brings together police attachés serving diplomatic missions in the United States at the embassies of the countries they represent. Its members integrate into a non-profit organization supporting their official activities, coordinating cooperation and exchanging experiences with various security agencies and police forces in the United States. The organization also aims to foster a hemispheric police liaison fraternity. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Mozer O. Da Cunha)
