YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 23, 2024) — Lt. Cmdr. Alex Nestle, assigned to Helicopter
Maritime Strike Squadron 77 or, the “Saberhawks,” operating from Naval Air Facility Atsugi,
speaks with a visitor of the 28th Yokosuka Spring Festival 2024 celebrated onboard Commander,
Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), while they display an MH-60R Seahawk. Scheduled during
Japan’s cherry blossom season, the annual open base event was held by CFAY to give
community members and guests the opportunity to enjoy the cherry blossoms and spring weather
together, highlighting the friendship between the U.S. Navy and the City of Yokosuka. For more
than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in
support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands
of military and civilian personnel and their families. (U.S. Navy photo by Ryo Isobe)
