U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion aircrafts, and a CH-53K King Stallion aircraft assigned to Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, participate in a mock raid during Assault Support Tactics 1 as part of Weapons and Tactics Instructor course 2-24, at Combat Village, near Wellton, Arizona, April 8, 2024. WTI is an advanced graduate-level course that provides advanced tactical training to enhance and employ advanced aviation weapons and tactics. AST-1 is a daytime, force-on-force event which affords prospective weapons and tactics instructors the opportunity to plan, brief, and execute a company-reinforced air assault while integrating the six functions of Marine Aviation.
