Cpl. Mark Porter, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, and Manny De Leon, an engineer assigned to Naval Information Warfare System (NIWC) Atlantic's Expeditionary Warfare Department, review the operational architecture linking various U.S. Marine Corps systems for potential impacts or changes to standard operating procedures aboard a C-17 Globemaster flight on March 19, 2024. The 315th Airlift Wing out of Joint Base Charleston welcomed NIWC Atlantic personnel aboard the aircraft. Porter, De Leon and other NIWC Atlantic engineers were supporting the System of Systems Naval Integration Experiment, an annual NIWC Atlantic technology-integration event that aims to improve interoperability of naval and joint warfighting systems and platforms.
