Michael Garshak, Idaho adjutant general and commander of the Idaho National Guard, dons a construction helmet in preparation for a groundbreaking ceremony on the Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy campus in Pierce, Idaho, April 9. A new 18,000 square foot barracks building, which will house up to 180 academy students and cadre, is slated for completion in November 2025.
