U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 109th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron offload a simulated patient from a helicopter at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Auxiliary Airfield, Hattiesburg, Miss., March 6, 2024. The Airmen participated in a joint military exercise called Southern Strike, designed to strengthen contingency response operations such as aeromedical evacuation, airfield protection by security forces, specialized fueling operations, and rotary aviation medevac and airlift.
