Mustin, Chief of Navy Reserve and Commander, Navy Reserve Force, speaks with Commander, Fourth Fleet/Southern Command reserve Sailors during the admiral's visit to Naval Station Mayport, Apr. 12, 2024. The mission of the Navy Reserve is to provide strategic depth and deliver operational capabilities to the Navy and Marine Corps team and Joint forces, in times of peace or war. U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet supports U.S. Southern Command’s joint and combined military operations by employing maritime forces in cooperative maritime security operations to maintain access, enhance interoperability, and build enduring partnerships in order to enhance regional security and promote peace, stability and prosperity in the Caribbean, Central and South American region.
