U.S. Soldiers assigned to Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 238th Aviation Regiment (2-238th AVN RGT), 59th Aviation Troop Command of the South Carolina Army National Guard participate in a joint-training exercise in partnership with the Trident Medical Center Trauma Center, Charleston, South Carolina, April 15, 2024. The event consisted of multiple scenario-based iterations, with two South Carolina Army National Guard’s UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters providing medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) support and National Guard flight medics performing critical care and patient handover drills utilizing High Fidelity Manikins. This type of training is a critical opportunity for Charlie Company to review MEDEVAC procedures, train in treating casualties and their evacuation, as well as conducting expeditionary deployment operations in support of civil authorities.
