U.S. Army soldiers assigned to the 716th Ordnance Company out of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, and 303rd Ordnance Company, 25th Infantry Division, work alongside Philippine Army service members assigned to EOD battalion, Army Support Command (ASCOM) run through practice lanes of real-world scenarios involving Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBEID). Salaknib is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. Military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
