Wild Weasel members received a tour of the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, April 12, 2024. At the start of Operation Rolling Thunder, the Soviets began building surface-to-air missile sites in North Vietnam. With these SAMs threatening to halt air operations, the Wild Weasels were sent to suppress and destroy the threat, flying some of the most dangerous missions in Southeast Asia.
