YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 22, 2024) – Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, pins Lt. j.g. Michael Brooks with the Surface Warfare Officer insignia aboard USS Milius (DDG 69), during a visit to Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan. Milius is forward-deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
