Maj. Gen. Deborah Kotulich (left), Deputy Chief of Army Reserve, speaks with Sharon Eaton, mother of Staff Sgt. Richard S. Eaton Jr., following the Staff Sgt. Richard S. Eaton Jr. Army Reserve Center memorialization ceremony. Eaton died of heat related injuries in August 2003, following a firefight in Al-Hit, Iraq. He last served with the 323rd Military Intelligence Battalion.
