U.S. Army Soldiers with the Marksmanship Training Unit (MTU), South Carolina Army National Guard, are recognized by the South Carolina House of Representatives for the unit’s accomplishments during the 2024 U.S. Army Small Arms Championship in Columbia, South Carolina on April 17, 2024. The U.S. Army Small Arms Championship is a week-long, advanced combat, live-fire training event held at Fort Moore, Georgia and it consists of teams from Active Duty, Army Reserves, and the National Guard. U.S. Army Staff Sgt. John Jordan, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Kevin Pritchett, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Mack Williams, and U.S. Army Sgt. David Drummer with the MTU competed against 53 other teams and won first place. Out of the 230 shooters, Jordan had the best overall score with 2,059 of 3,000. U.S. Army Maj. Gen.
