U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Christopher Romero, commander of Marine Corps Engineer Detachment-Palau 24.1 and Gov. Emais Roberts give Lt. Gen. William M. Jurney, commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, a tour of World War II artifacts which are temporarily being held at the office of the governor until a new museum can be completed, Apr. 25. Jurney traveled to Palau to meet with local and military leaders to discuss regional defense partnerships and opportunities. Palau is one of the Compact of Free Association states aligned with the United States, which provides defense, funding, and access to social services.
