Brig. Gen. Brian Wertzler, Kentucky's assistant adjutant general, presents Battle Creek Youth ChalleNGe Academy with the second place overall award along with Ret. Col. Dee Briscoe, BCA director and Command Sgt. Maj. Jamemecka Sanders, BCA commandant, at an awards ceremony Friday, April 26. Cadets from the Appalachian and Bluegrass ChalleNGe Academies, Hoosier Youth ChalleNGe Academy from Ohio and Battle Creek Youth ChalleNGe Academy in Michigan competed in a variety of events recently at Fort Knox.
