A woman works on her mango farm, employing techniques learned from USAID-supported training. Farmer Warda is a matriarch who doubled her family’s mango harvest. She enrolled in USAID-supported training for smallholder farmers and adopted new techniques that boosted mango production from twenty to forty tons. Warda partnered with women in her community to produce compost from food waste and together they saved money on fertilizer. With higher profits, Warda and her husband built a new home and can cover the costs of a wedding for their daughter.
