Jaime Pinkham, Principal Deputy, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, joins professor Martin Doyle of Duke University and others while touring the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District's Ice Harbor Lock and Dam to learn about project operations, hydropower improvements, fish passage systems, and overall mission, April 23. The Walla Walla District has started installing adjustable blade turbines designed for improved fish passage at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam, one of the four Lower Snake River Dams in Eastern Washington.
