U.S. Marines and Sailors with Battalion Landing Team 1/8, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), embark a CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 (Reinforced), 24th MEU, to conduct a simulated raid during Composite Unit Training (COMPTUEX) aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21), while underway in the Atlantic Ocean, April 24, 2024. The Wasp (WSP) Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) – 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit is conducting COMPTUEX, their final at-sea certification exercise under the evaluation of Carrier Strike Group 4 and Expeditionary Operations Training Group.
