Tatsuya Hara, 374th Security Forces Squadron chief of civilian defense, was named the Air Force 2023 Civilian Defender of the Year due to his contributions and dedication both on and off duty at Yokota Air Base, Japan, April 30, 2024. Hara’s childhood dream came true when he started working on the base as a civilian guard for the security forces squadron.
