JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 12, 2024) Vice Adm. John B. Mustin, Chief of Navy Reserve and Commander, Navy Reserve Force, speaks with Reserve Sailors during his visit to Patrol Squadron (VP) 30 , Apr. 12, 2024. During the visit, Mustin presented awards to Sailors and gave remarks on the status of Naval Reserve Forces. The “Pro’s Nest” of VP-30, based onboard Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla., is the U.S. Navy’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS). VP-30’s mission is to provide Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft and Northrop Grumman maritime surveillance unmanned aircraft system (UAS) MQ-4C UAS - specific training to pilots, Naval flight officers, and enlisted aircrew prior to reporting to the fleet.
