240506-N-MY408-1283 (May 6, 2024) TAKORADI, Ghana – Greek Navy Chief Petty Officer Aspostolos Lazaridis from the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Center (NMIOTC) teaches casualty care methods for treating hypothermia during Obangame Express 2024 at Ghana Western Naval Headquarters. Lazaridis is part of a NMIOTC mobile training team that provides medical and close quarters combat training throughout Obangame Express 2024. During Exercise Obangame Express 2024, the 13th rendition of the exercise, partner and allied forces collaborate to enhance collective maritime law enforcement capabilities, bolster national and regional security in West Africa, and foster greater interoperability among U.S., African, and multinational partners.
