240507-N-MY408-1175 (May 7, 2024) TAKORADI, Ghana – Democratic Republic of the Congo sailor Koleshay Fiston poses with a M-16 training rifle at Ghana Western Naval Headquarters during Obangame Express 2024. Fiston used the training rifle to practice close quarter combat techniques to use in maritime security and anti-piracy operations. During Exercise Obangame Express 2024, the 13th rendition of the exercise, partner and allied forces collaborate to enhance collective maritime law enforcement capabilities, bolster national and regional security in West Africa, and foster greater interoperability among U.S., African, and multinational partners.
