The Honorable Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio, the lieutenant governor of Guam, tours base housing during a base tour on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, May 9, 2024. Tenorio's visit to Okinawa helped validate the Marine Corps families and service members' transition from Okinawa to Guam. The relocation of select units is part of a mission to enhance military readiness in the Indo-Pacific. Moving forces enables Marines to respond to emerging threats rapidly. Guam's capabilities include forward basing, power projection, and logistical support worldwide, creating a free and open Indo-Pacific. Tenorio is a native of Guam. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
