The West Virginia National Guard’s State Partnership Program with Peru won runner-up for the National Guard Bureau’s 2023 SPP Partnership of the Year Award during the program’s annual conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 16-18, 2024. During 2023, the WVNG conducted 31 engagements with Peru focusing on humanitarian assistance and disaster response, cyber capabilities, enlisted leader professional development, airlift operations, logistics, special operations, and key leader engagements.
