Andrew Martin, a San Diego, California native, general contractor, left, U.S. Marine Corps Col. Scott Gehris, a Bowers, Pennsylvania native, chief of staff of Marine Air-Ground Task Force Training Command, Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, center, and U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Andrew Stitt, a Chandler, Arizona native, director of Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Department, MCAGCC, are the first to “break ground” in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new warfighting center at MCAGCC, Twentynine Palms, California, May 7, 2024. The project consolidates training for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Training Directorate and Tactical Training and Exercise Control Group by incorporating command and control of all operational force training with space for classified wargaming, modeling and simulation, exercise control, after action review, and secure operations to promote twenty-first century learning and facilitate Naval integration.
