ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 24, 2024) an MV-22 Osprey attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 (Reinforced), 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), lands aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New York as a part of the Composite Unit Training Exercise (COMPTUEX), April 24, 2024. Ospreys are used to transport personnel and equipment from ship to shore in support of amphibious operations. New York is underway in the Atlantic Ocean completing integrated naval training as part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th MEU. Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 4 and Expeditionary Operations Training Group (EOTG) work together with Joint and Allied teammates to mentor, train, and assess ARGs and MEUs in support of U.S. and Allied economic, security, and defense interests.
